RFID solutions

A different and unique positioning

Major RFID projects undertaken in recent years by governments and various large retail groups focus primarily on improving supply chain processes.

Whether it involves locating, inventorying or monitoring the use of logistics equipment, improving goods flow tracking processes or revolutionizing inventory management at the warehouse or in retail outlets, RFID technology plays an instrumental role in optimizing supply chain processes by boosting productivity and substantially improving traceability thanks to contactless bulk reading. Everyone in the supply chain is concerned – manufacturers, logisticians and distributors alike – as all these processes take place in manufacturing plants, warehouses and storage facilities.

Thanks to its takeover of NBG-ID, Neopost ID can boast more than 7 years’ experience and over 20 RFID projects implemented in the logistics, retail and textile sectors.

In October 2008, Neopost ID demonstrated its RFID expertise by developing and implementing one of the biggest RFID projects of the year: the DHL / Metro project, consisting of tracking goods pallets from DHL Exel supply chain’s distribution centers to Metro Cash & Carry stores. This project involved the installation of 156 RFID gates at 96 sites, to read without contact the 1.3 million pallets passing through them every year.

Neopost ID is a member of GS1, and was among the first to adopt the EPCglobal standard. It is also the first integrator in France to have implemented an Oracle EPC-IS tracking base.

Based on our expert knowledge of the logistics sector, Neopost ID has chosen to specialize in RFID solutions for tracking logistics equipment and ensuring the traceability of goods in the supply chain. These solutions address both the companies involved in supply chain processes, such as logisticians, carriers and postal companies and the users of these processes: manufacturers, distributors, etc.
